Everyday questions.
Projects to explore them.

Nutrition evidence, shared spaces, light, and sound. A collection of practical tools and research experiments, with the assumptions open to inspection.

Developed with mentor and AI assistance. Each entry records its stage, known contributions, and the evidence still to collect.

A claim. A room.
A shared turn.

Three practical projects. Read the question, try an example, and inspect the documented role.

NutriCut

Read the claim.
Inspect the evidence.

What does the study actually support?

A sports-science reading tool that separates a study’s claims, limitations, and counter-evidence. Study-design labels are computed in code; AI helps organize the reading.

DormFit

Know what fits.
Make room to use it.

Prototype · v5

“It fits” is only half the question.

A suitcase can fit beside a desk and still have nowhere to open. DormFit checks footprints and extra use space, with the furniture already in the room kept separate from the belongings being considered.

Laundry
Relay

A clear turn.
A fair handoff.

Local server prototype

A queue that knows when to pass the turn.

Students take a short arrival hold, report starting a wash, and confirm when the washer is finished and empty. A missed arrival passes the turn on. An expired wash estimate never makes an occupied washer available.

The wider collection.

Ten more prototypes and experiments. A working model, a field result, and a contribution record each tell a different part of the story.

Research
& experiments.

Early investigations into light, sound, simulation, and evidence.

These projects contain models, prototypes, or local benchmarks. Field results and individual contributions are recorded only where documented.

Ideas before the build.

Four early concepts. These remain separate from implemented work; Ethan’s contributions have not yet been documented.

After the Captain

Observe a newcomer attempt a simulated club task, then improve the handover notes around the places they get stuck.

Research brief · no implementation documented

Scrap-to-Signs

Turn leftover cardboard into event signs within measured material constraints. This earlier exploration relates to Offcut.

Research concept · not a separate finished app

Muscle Mirror

Explore a webcam-based learning tool that connects body movement with joint mechanics and explanatory questions.

Early concept · implementation not verified

Snap Physics

A concept for turning objects in a photograph into an interactive two-dimensional physics learning playground.

Reserve concept · implementation not verified

NewCode was an earlier direction that developed into NutriCut; it is not counted as a separate completed project.

Make the rules visible.
Then test them.

A calculation, an observation, and a personal decision should each mean something different.

Find a specific moment

A claim without context. A suitcase that cannot open. A shared turn with no handoff. Start with a concrete interaction.

Model the constraint

Space to use an item; ownership of a turn. Keep the assumptions inspectable and the edge cases explicit.

Separate proof from promise

Source tests check software behavior. Real rooms and willing users are the next step toward evidence of usefulness.

Evidence &
contributions.

The archive includes published prototypes, local research, and early concepts. Linked homepages were checked on October 13. Their availability does not establish functional accuracy or real-world impact. Saved benchmark and test records retain their original dates.
